GREASE
CONDENSING TANKS
The detergents and the grease contained
in the domestic sewage slow down and block the depuration processes
inhibiting the activity of the microorganisms. For this reason it is
important to provide a drainage system only used for the discharge of
white waters ( sink drainage, washbasins, washing tubs, washing machine,
dishwasher, bathroom water drainage, bath, shower, washbasin, bidet).
The white waters used can be thus treated with a grease condensing tank,
while the toilet drainage is treated with an Imhoff tank.
The grease in the water and the lather of the detergents are separated
and carried separately to these two different products, made up of a
circular or rectangular tank divided into compartments: the bulky residues
of food that can go through the sink drain and a high quantity of grease
and floating lather are collected in the first compartment.
In the second compartment another quantity of grease is collected after
going through a siphon; in the third compartment, after the passage
through another siphon, the water depurated from the high concentration
of detergents mixed with the grease goes out to the absorbing well,
the sub- irrigation treatment, the water sewage or to any further treatment
of depuration.

The grease condensing tanks
are made according to the typology and the amount of sewage to be treated.
Particular consideration is paid to the surface area of the amount and
to the liquid head necessary to separate the sedimentable solids and
the floating particles. In order to optimise the separation of the grease
and the detergents, the retention times have to be ample enough . In
this way we can obtain an almost complete cooling of the sewage and
thus the condensation of the grease and the lather. Moreover the separation
through different compartments inside the tank permits to reduce the
turbulence caused by the inflow of liquid and create the proper situations
for a successful process.

Our range of products includes
circular tanks of diameter cm. int. 60, 80,
100, 150, 200, 234 and rectangular tanks cm.int. 300x200 used mainly
to treat sewage coming from canteens and restaurants.
The tanks with a 100
and 150
cm diameter are also produced in monoblock of 100 cm high instead of
50 cm high modules.
Monolithic grease condensing
tanks with sides of 16 cm thickness and internal measurements of cm
200x300, 200x400, 200x500, are also produced if requested.
Warnings. Considering the treated waters it is advisable
to frequently clean and empty the system as well as the other depuration
systems. It is advisable to use a breather pipe on the inlet duct of
the sewage to depurate and to fill the product with clean water after
each emptying operation.
